There is still time! Let 2019 be the year you support your local Humane Society.
Humane Society of Mid Michigan Pets. People. Passion.
The Humane Society of Mid Michigan provides care to animals picked up by Animal Control and local law enforcement as well as animals who's owners can no longer care for them. Stray animals are housed at the former Montcalm County Animal Shelter. HSofMM provides care to these animals free of charge to Montcalm County as they no longer have a budget to run an Animal Shelter. Strays are held for 7 days to give the owner a chance to come for them. If strays are not claimed they are evaluated and placed into foster care while they prepare for adoption.
HSofMM does not currently have walk-in hours. Pet adoptions and meet and greets can still be scheduled 7 days a week simply by giving us a call!
HSofMM can only accept stray animals from Montcalm County Animal Control Officer(s). If you have found a stray animal, please contact the Animal Control agency in the county which you live. If you are missing a pet please visit our lost and found page to file a report.
Your support does so much for our pets... Meet Sackett,
When Sackett arrived he weighted only 26 pounds and could hardly stand on his own...
Sackett just 30 days after entering our care...
Meet Scakett. This fella was found wandering around a potato field, starved and dehydrated. We aren't sure how long he had been on his own but it appeared he wouldn't have made it without the compassionate care given by our staff, volunteers and veterinarians once he arrived in our care. In the beginning everyone was all so worried he wasn't going to be strong enough to recover. It was a tense few weeks while we waited to see if his body could recover from such a poor condition.
After just a few weeks with his foster family Sackett recovered and began to grow in a beautiful healthy boy! Because of our supporters we were able to take him into our program and give him the medical care that he needed to survive. Sackett has since found a loving family and will never know suffering again. He is just one of many animals who will need our help, can you help us help them? Donate today!
Many dogs and cats come to us in need of extra medical care for all kinds of conditions such as heartworm disease, skin and ear infections and injuries. We often have hundreds of dollars into a single pet to make sure that he/she is happy and healthy, in addition to our standard care (vaccines, flea/tick treatment, dewormer, heartworm test, microchip and spay/neuter surgery).
Do you know where that extra funding comes from? DONATIONS!!
We can only provide the necessary medical care to stray and discarded pets because of your support. Kenny is just one of many examples of what we use our donation funds for and this case reflects how important it is that we have those funds available. Please consider donating today to ensure we can continue to provide the best care for the lost and discarded pets that will call us home.
You can donate today by clicking any of our DONATE buttons throughout this site or visiting www.paypal.me/HSofMM. Donations can also be mailed to : PO Box 577 Stanton MI 48888
